Artist's opinion:
I first discovered these exceptional sculpting tools during a course at The Sculpture School in Devon (thesculptureschool.co.uk) and I’ve been using them ever since. Hand-crafted by professional sculptor Andy Sinclair, they are a joy to work with, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
For years, I directed my students to The Sculpture School’s online shop to purchase their own sets, so I was delighted when I was given the opportunity to offer them here in my own store. You will have seen me using them in all of my sculpting videos.
Although originally designed for water-based clay, these tools perform beautifully with polymer clay and wax-based clays as well.
Built to last a lifetime, they’ll serve you faithfully throughout your sculpting career—an investment you’ll never regret.
We are offering the three smallest sizes, C1 - C3. Although Andy recommends the larger sizes for sketching in and the smaller sizes for detailing, I find when used for sculpting babies I definitely use the three smallest sizes the most and these I feel are the definitely the most useful for sculpting with polymer clay.
